Our text in 1 Thessalonians 1 gives us an explicit example of a God-centred church. It was a church seeking to do God’s work, God’s way, for God’s glory.

The God of the Good times is still God in the bad times, the God of the day, is still God in the night. He’s the omnipotent All-powerful God.

There are lots of things a person can do if they are willing to do what they can to serve the Lord. He’s not asking us to do it all. He is simply asking us to do what we can do.

No list of adjectives could ever adequately picture the immenseness of our God. He is so big that we don’t even have the proper words to describe His bigness.
