The Reformation refers to a spiritual rebirth and a return to the gospel in the 16th Century under Reformers such as Martin Luther.

God has an appointed end for His people, bringing all who trust him as their Saviour into God’s family, guaranteeing their salvation and a future home in heaven with him.

God is constantly doing an internal work in our lives as He draws us into a deeper relationship with Him. 

What this story really means is that those who should have been most grateful weren’t. And the one man who shouldn’t have come back did.

God cares just as much when the tempest is raging as when the seas are calm, and the sun is shining. His mercy is not limited to the sunlight or the stillness of the waves.
